The South Weber Model Railroad Club relies on members and volunteers to keep the trains running at Canyon Meadows Park. While volunteers are always welcome, membership in the Club has its benefits. Members in good standing have access to training in railroad operations, Club facilities and activities, and Club rolling stock and locomotives. If you have your own locomotive or rolling stock, you may run them on the Club track after a safety inspection of your equipment.
Once certified, you can be a conductor or engineer for the Club on public ride days -- experience the fun of providing train rides for others! We ask that members participate in at least one training or work session per month (around 2 hours), attend general meetings, and help with as many public ride days as their schedule will allow each season. You don’t need to live in South Weber City to become a member.
